Maria Tapia, a native of Santiago, Chile, has worked in the tax and accounting field since 2003. With decades of hands-on experience in individual and business tax preparation, she built Trust Tax Service on integrity, accuracy, and long-term client relationships.
Two years ago, she welcomed her daughter, Sofia Tapia-Romero, as co-owner — continuing a family legacy that began when Sofia started assisting in the office at just 14 years old.
Both Maria and Sofia are Certified Acceptance Agents (CAA), authorized to process ITIN (W-7) applications. They are professional tax preparers fully bilingual in English and Spanish, serving individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and growing businesses throughout North Carolina.

Professional Tax Preparer | Business Tax Specialist
Sofia began helping in the office at age 14 and started preparing taxes full-time at 18. Today she prepares individual and business tax returns including partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps.
Payroll & Compliance Specialist
Flor joined Trust Tax Service in 2022 with a background in administrative studies. She manages bookkeeping tasks and assists with payroll and compliance filings including Forms 940, 941, W-2, W-3, 1099, and sales tax filings.
Seasonal Tax Preparer
Isabel has been part of the Trust Tax Service team since 2016, providing valuable support during tax season. She specializes in preparing individual tax returns and assists with bookkeeping tasks and Form 1099 preparation.
